Description:
"As shown in the accompanying drawing, the leading or material feature of my design consists in the figure of a dragon A, carrying near its head end a wheel B and mounted by the figure of a sailor C, gripping handles on the wheel with his hands and represented in the attitude of steering. The face of a clock D shows at the wheel, which encircles it. The dragon is represented with raised wing, hiding from view the lower extremities of the sailor, and with erect tail, and the whole rises from an ornamental base of general scroll shape."
