"The essential features of my design present a clock having a face which is very large in respect to the over-all dimensions of the clock. The face is covered by a curved crystal which extends to a wide, massive band that encircles the largest dimension of the clock. These features are in combination with the base having an open configuration, as illustrated in the drawing. "
