The Company has appealed to Washington for an extension to permit us to make clocks and watches until July 31. As production of war material increases, clock and watch production has been decreasing and an extension, as stated above, would enable us to make the changeover with less disruption to operations and employees. We do not yet know what the results of this appeal will be.
