Westclox Bantam Alarm Clock Style Series

The Bantam alarm clock was introduced in 1931 as a green painted leg model. A new base model available in blue or green was made from 1932 - 1934. Replaced by a larger streamlined model made from 1934 - 1935.

A Bantam electric was introduced in 1949.

When identifying a Bantam style, observe the case shape and ignore the case and dial color, as some styles were made in various case and dial colors, as shown in the detail page for each style.

Black base with green case body. Base straight in front and round in back.

History of the Bantam Alarm Clock

The trademark BANTAM was issued to Western Clock Co. on December 19, 1916. The registration contains the statement "The trade mark has been continuously used in business of said corporation since May 19, 1915. I'm not aware of a Bantam this early.
