The Pocket Ben was introduced in 1915 in nickel-plated or gunmetal cases with either an open or a closed inner back. Either heavy or light numerals and hands were available. Initially, only the name "Pocket Ben" was on the dial, with "Westclox" added in 1917 (as on most Westclox clocks).
