Early Seth Thomas 8 Day Brass Movement Weight Clocks

Here is an early example of an 8 day brass movement weight driven clock by Seth Thomas. The owner wishes to point out that the clock is awaiting restoration, and that the movement has been badly mistreated by a previous repairer. Since we believe this clock is historically significant, we have illustrated it here as-is.

The case is in the style of the earlier one day half column brass weight driven clock, but is taller (over 29 inches). The case appears to have had a top piece or cornice that is now missing.
